There needs to be more opportunity for young people to engage with Irish politics.
That's according to Laois student Anna McWey who says a space needs to be made for young people, outside of those interested in politics, to find out whats going on in the political system.
This comes as new research by National Youth Council of Ireland highlights a widespread belief that politicians are out of touch with the challenges young people face today.
