Concerns are being raised around the future of a Laois mental health unit.
Erkina House in Rathdowney had been previously set to close in 2022, with the HSE stating at the time it was "unsuitable in contemporary mental health service provision."
Residents were set to be transferred to Silver Lodge in Tullamore, with Laois TD Brian Stanley opposing the move.
The facility remains open to date with only two residents left.
