Laois TD Demands Deer Be Tested For TB

A Laois TD is questioning why deer are not being tested for Tuberculosis.

At a previous meeting, the Department of Agriculture awarded €3.6 million to the Farm Relief Services Co-Op to implement a long-term deer population management strategy.

Ireland is experiencing significant deer overpopulation in counties such as Donegal, Wicklow, and Kerry.
