Laois TD Pushes For Tougher Measures On Israeli-Occupied Territories Trade

The legislation under debate in the Dáil is limited to the trade of physical goods.

A Laois TD is demanding that the Government include a ban on services with Israeli occupied territories in legislation.

The Occupied Territories Bill currently being debated in the Dáil is only set to focus on physical goods.

Independent rep Brian Stanley also feels Ireland must continue its work with other EU states to cancel its preferential trade agreement with Israel.

He says there's no reason Ireland can't follow the example of other countries:
