A Laois town is set to be one of the first areas in the country to get a community CCTV Scheme.
Mountmellick Neighbourhood Watch has been working on the project since 2015, to help tackle anti social behaviour and burglaries.
The group received 41,000 euro in funding for installation and maintenance of the 31 cameras.
