Laois Town Sees Sharp Housing Price Growth Amid Rising Population

Donegal was the only county to see a larger increase during the second quarter of this year.

The growing population of a Laois town is the main factor driving up housing demand.

That's according to the Real Estate Alliance, after the county recorded a 3.2% increase in the cost of a semi detached house in the space of just three months.

Only Donegal recorded a bigger increase over the course of the second quarter of this year.

The average price is up by 1.4% in Westmeath and 1.2% in Offaly.
