The debate over how Ireland should handle renewable energy growth is ongoing.
Large scale solar and wind farms are only serving to undermine the strength of the agriculture and tourism sectors in Ireland.
That's what Labour Councillor Denis Leonard is saying as debate continues about how the State should handle the growth of renewable industries.
Last year, Mr. Leonard and Westmeath County Council voted to deny a planning application for a 214 acre solar farm in Crookedwood.
