Larger Garda Presence Needed To Tackle Midlands Anti-Social Behaviour - Sinn Féin

One of the party's TDs are claiming rural Ireland is being forgotten about, in terms of Garda presence.

An increase in midlands Gardaí is needed to tackle anti-social behaviour and open-street dealing.

Sinn Féin Meath West TD Johnny Guirke says, of the ten Garda stations in his constituency, including Delvin and Castlepollard, only two are manned full-time.

He claims rural Ireland is being forgotten about, as more Gardaí are stationed in larger towns.
