The Fine Gael rep says homes need to be built quicker.
The LDA says over 15,000 homes will be built on its direct delivery sites in the next few years.
The Land Development Agency will appear before the Oireachtas Housing Committee this afternoon to provide an update on how it plans to deliver affordable homes.
Over 10,000 homes are currently in the planning or construction phase while land to be acquired shortly will provide the basis for a further 5,000 homes.
