There will be competitions, concerts and dances taking place.

Laois is set to become the centre of the Fleadh world this weekend.

This year's Leinster Fleadh is taking place in the county, with competitions kicking off this morning in Killeshin and Portlaoise's Scoil Chroist RI.

A wide range of community events are also planned throughout, with the opening concert this Sunday in Dunamaise Arts Centre from 6pm.

Portlaoise Publicans is also backing a session trail from the the 26th to the 28th.
