Nationally, the figure is over 6,000.
Over 6,000 new jobs were created by Local Enterprise Office clients this year.
Nearly 600 of those were in the midlands, with 235 in Offaly, 208 in Westmeath and 143 in Laois.
The national figure represents a net gain of over 2,000 employees.
The Local Enterprise Office Network's 2023 jobs report also shows 82% of new jobs were created outside of Dublin.
