Lidl Appeal To An Bord Planeala Over Potential €10m Store In Westmeath

Planning permission was refused at a local level in June.

An Bord Pleanala will make a decision in November on the future of a €10-million Lidl store in Westmeath.

The German retailer is appealing a refusal of permission for the redevelopment of the Colm Quinn motor store in Athlone Business Park by Westmeath County Council.

The local authority cited potential traffic issues as the reason for their decision in June.

It will now be the 23rd of November before there's any resolution to the impasse.
