The project is proposing a cycle way that will cross from Laois into Carlow.
Hundreds of submissions have been lodged against plans for a new cycleway in the Midlands.
The Church Street Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme in Graiguecullen will see a new cycle lane being at the Barrowvale Housing Estate in Laois, and continue on to Church Street through to Sleaty Street and the entrance to Carlow Town Park.
Laois Sinn Fein Cathaoirleach Aaron Kelly, along with Carlow Councillor John Cassin lodged a combined 756 hard copy submissions to both Laois and Carlow County Councils yesterday.
They're underlining issues around the loss of parking, and the impact the development will have on businesses and traffic congestion as reasons why the project should be reconsidered.
