Gardaí are reminding people to slow down on the roads.
A lorry driver in Laois was caught speeding twice yesterday.
The HGV was stopped for a speeding offence on the N80 at Milltown, Ballylinan.
The driver, whose licence went out of date over a year ago, informed gardaí they had been already been stopped for a speeding offence earlier in the day.
A number of tachograph offences were also detected.
The driver will appear in court at a later date.
