The Lovely Laois Homecoming is set to take place this week.
A weekend celebrating music, literature, art, photography, heritage, creativity and community is promised across Laois.
This year's event is celebrating and honouring a well-known Laois personality alongside four inspirational Unsung Heroes.
Eileen Dunne, former RTÉ newscaster and a native of Clonaslee will be the celebrity celebrated.
This year’s four Unsung Hero Awards recipients are Noel Burke from Abbeyleix, The ARC Project, Abbeyleix House and Farm Rescue Centre and Portlaoise's Tom Duffy.
The homecoming takes place from this Friday until Sunday, and Trudi Lalor, Organiser of the Laois Homecoming Festival says they expect a huge crowd:
