The National Lottery has confirmed the jackpot winner from Saturday 22nd May has made contact and arrangements are now being made to claim the life-changing prize.

The winning ticket was sold in the Apple Green Service Station in Arcadia, Athlone.

It comes just a day after a Euromillions player scooped a half a million euro in Moate.
