Belvedere House will receive the highest amount across the midlands.

Almost €400,000 euro is going to protect historic buildings in the Midlands.

€200,000 is going to Belvedere House in Mullingar for fire safety upgrade works.

Donaghmore Workhouse and Agriculture Museum in Laois is getting €132,000 for roofing repairs.

While there's €60,000 for roof and insulation works on Temple Connor Church in Clonmacnoise.

The grants are part of the Historic Structures Fund which funds larger scale conservation works for heritage structures in Ireland.
