A decision is due next month for the development of The Cross Keys Bar.
Plans are in place for a major renovation of an award-winning midlands bar.
The Crossed Keys Bar in Mullingar, wants to partially demolish its ground floor to allow for refurbishment and a planned extension.
The owners want to deliver upgraded toilets, a new cold room, two snug seating areas, and a modern function space.
Plans also involve securing guest access to first-floor short-term accommodation and the conversion of an existing store into a function room bar, storage, and covered parking, with six new guest rooms included in the project design.
A decision is due from Westmeath County Council on June 23rd.
