A man accused of murdering his wife in Laois has been remanded in custody with consent to bail after the case's latest hearing.
72 year old Eugene Constantin of 25 Church Street in Portlaoise is charged with the murder of Adina Raluca Constantin at their home earlier this month.
The Irish Independent is reporting the accused appeared in Portlaoise District Court yesterday via video link.
Mr Constantin was asked by Judge Andrew Cody whether he had taken up a High Court application for bail on July 14th, to which he responded by saying "no".
He scheduled to appear before Tullamore District Court on August 6th.
