A man is appearing in court this morning in relation to a high speed car chase in Longford earlier this week.
He fled the scene after being stopped for dangerous driving, striking a garda and fracturing his arm in the process.
Gardaí pursued the driver until he hit a patrol car and crashed into a wall.
The motorist has now been charged before Mullingar District Court in the last hour.
