Offaly Gardaí observed a man and a woman, both highly intoxicated, causing damage to a service station forecourt in Tullamore.
Gardaí say the man became highly abusive and aggressive towards them and claimed to be Covid19 positive.
He has been charged with public intoxication, numerous counts of criminal damage and possession of a controlled substance for own personal use.
The man was also issued with a Covid fine after travelling to Tullamore from Galway without a reasonable excuse.
The woman has been charged with public intoxication.
