The incidents occurred at a petrol station, and two grocery shops.
A man in his 30s is due in court in connection with three robberies in the midlands.
The incidents occurred yesterday in Tullamore at Apple Green Service Station on Main Street at 9.30am, Lidl, Main Street, at 2 o'clock and Dunnes Stores at 2.15pm.
The culprit entered the stores and pushed a member of staff and took cash from the till.
No one was injured in the incidents and no weapons were used.
The man was arrested and was detained at Tullamore Garda Station and is to appear before Portlaoise District Court this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything to contact them.
