Gardaí and the HSA are investigating the matter.
A man has died after a workplace accident in Offaly.
The incident took place yesterday evening at around 5pm at a premises in Garryhinch.
The man, who was in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed from the scene to the morgue in the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, where a post-mortem examination is set to take place.
The Health and Safety Authority is due to arrive at the scene this morning.
