A man has been hospitalised after an alleged assault in Westmeath this week.
The incident took place in Mullingar on Monday at around 7pm.
The man, in his 50s, was brought to Mullingar Regional Hospital with serious injuries,
Gardaí are yet to make an arrest over the incident.
