A man is swimming the length of the River Shannon to raise money for cancer supports
Ballinasloe's Aidan Sheridan is taking on the challenge in July to fundraise for the East Galway Midlands Cancer Support and the Irish Cancer Society.
His journey, which he expects will take about two weeks, will begin in Dowra, Co. Cavan and end in Limerick City.
He says he's doing it in honour of his brother:
