He's been remanded on bail before a sitting of Longford District Court on January 19th.
A man has appeared in court accused of pulling his ex partner by her hair and kicking her while her two young children were in a car travelling through the Midlands.
The Irish Independent is reporting 36 year old Adam Stelmaszcyk from Shannon Grove, Ballyleague in Roscommon is being charged with assault causing harm to the woman in an incident in Westmeath on March 9th.
The woman gave a statement to Gardaí on the same date the alleged assault took place.
Mr Stelmaszcyk is yet to make a plea but has been granted a Polish interpreter for when he returns to court.
Judge Bernadette Owens ordered the disclosure of all prosecution evidence for the defence, and remanded the Roscommon man on bail before a sitting of Longford District Court on January 19th.
