Means Test Must Go By 2027 - Family Carers Ireland

The organisation is calling for the abolition of the means test once again.

The abolition of means testing for carers must be a government priority when framing Budget 2025.

Family Carers Ireland in Tullamore is calling on government to be ambitious in its budget by delivering eight pillars of change for family carers which include a statutory home support scheme and waiting lists eliminated for children seeking support.

Head of Communications and Policy at the organisation, Catherine Cox, says the Means Test has to go by 2027.
