The incoming Director General of RTE says he will outline his plans for the "reconstitution" of the executive board from Monday.

Kevin Bakhurst met with the Media Minister Catherine Martin this morning following the current scandal surrounding the broadcaster.

Mr. Bakhurst will start as Director General next week, replacing Dee Forbes.

RTÉ has been thrown into a scandal after it was revealed the State Broadcaster had paid Mr. Tubridy €345,000 more than it disclosed.

They will address the PAC at half eleven, before a further meeting at three with the Media Committee, on the current RTE payments scandal.
