The Independent rep is calling for support from the government.
An Offaly town is currently experiencing a medical card 'crisis.'
That's according to Councillor Sean O' Brien, who's raising concerns GPs in Tullamore aren't accepting new patients due to long waiting lists.
He says the extension of medical card applications to people coming into the country, and the introduction of GP visit cards have put pressure on the practice.
