It takes place this evening in Ballyragget.
A public meeting will take place in the midlands to discuss a proposed windfarm being planned on the Laois-Kilkenny border.
The meeting has been organised by a group of concerned local residents and will provide an opportunity for members of the public and local communities to learn more about the proposal, the effects and impact on their community
Plans have been called by Sesk In Wind Farm for the building of a new substation and a 100 metre weather tower in addition to the proposed wind farm turbines, which have a tip height of 175 metres and a blade diameter of 150 metres.
The event will run this evening at 8:00pm in the CYMS Hall, Ballyragget.
