The entire country will be affected by a new low temperature and ice warning this evening.
Temperatures could drop as low as minus 5 degrees tonight, with more weather alerts issued.
The midlands, as well as the rest of the country, will fall under a new Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning from 6pm this evening.
It'll be in place until 11am tomorrow morning, with sleet and snow is expected in north-western areas in particular.
Met Éireann is warning of difficult travelling conditions and animal welfare issues.
