The announcement coincides with the 90-day accommodation limit, and will take effect tomorrow.
A midlands accommodation site has been chosen as one of five new Ukrainian refugee reception centres.
The site in Stradbally will provide 90-day accommodation for new arrivals from Ukraine, and will continue to have a maximum capacity of 950 people.
The legislation also states anyone in these centres will be subject to a reduced social welfare weekly allowance of €38.80 per adult, which is the equivalent to those seeking asylum from other countries.
The other four sites announced by the State today are located in Dublin City Centre, Limerick City, Punchestown and Cork City, and all five centres will accommodate over 2,000 refugees.
The Taoiseach says he's hopeful the new sites won't be targeted by protestors.
