Westmeath is leading the way for EV sales in the region.
Electric vehicle sales have increased by over a third on this time last year.
The latest report from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry shows more 600 new EVs have been registered in the region so far this year, compared to just over 450 in the same period in 2022.
Westmeath accounts for the largest share of new registrations in the midlands, with 267.
That's followed by a figure of 206 in Laois, while 160 new EVs have been registered in Offaly.
Nationally, electric vehicle sales are up 50%.
