They won at the 20th SEAI Energy Awards.
A midlands brewing company have been named Best Small and Medium Business for 2023.
The SEAI Energy Awards granted the honour to the Ballykilcavan Brewing Company, based in Laois.
The brewers are known for using barley grown on their own farm to produce their beer, and have a focus on the decarbonisation the process.
A combination of factors, such as installing solar panels and cutting down on energy imports, has reduces their carbon footprint by 77%.
CEO of SEAI, William Walsh, said "We are here to recognise those leading the energy revolution in their respective sectors, providing exemplary leadership in reducing Ireland’s dependence on fossil fuels"
