Midlands Business Served With Closure Order From The Food Safety Authority

10 companies were ordered to shut their doors last month.

The Food Safety Authority ordered ten companies to shut their doors last month, including a food business operating from a barber shop with no facilities for maintaining hygiene and protecting the food.

Other issues identified include a live cockroach infestation in a kitchen, a dead rat in an open drain in a food store, frozen fish stored in a broken freezer, and rat droppings in a tub of hot chocolate powder.

The businesses are located in Dublin, Louth, Laois, and Meath.
