Jenn McMillian is thanking people in Tullamore for their help after her parents were hospitalised in a serious crash in the Midlands.
A Canadian woman is thanking a Midlands community after her parents were involved in a serious car crash while holidaying in Ireland.
Sandee Rosien and her husband Mike Wurm were injured in a collision between Edgeworthstown and Ballymahon.
Mike, who is living with dementia, remains in hospital, while Sandy has since been discharged.
Their daughter Jenn McMillian travelled from Toronto and is staying with her mother at the Tullamore Court Hotel.
Jenn says that despite the difficult circumstances, the kindness and support from the people of Tullamore has been overwhelming:
The Canadian Embassy says they have been in touch with the family and are offering consular assistance.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up by family friends in Canada.
