Local authorities in Laois, Westmeath, and Offaly will see millions of euro more in funding.
Additional funding for local authorities will be a "huge help."
That's according to Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council, Eddie Fitzpatrick, as the local authority has been allocated an extra €3.5m in LPT funding.
Laois County Council will receive €3m, and Westmeath will be allocated an extra €1.5m.
Nationally, the Department of Local Government is providing an increase of €75m.
