It was one of three businesses in the region in the running.
A midlands engineering company has won an award at the National Enterprise Awards.
Offaly-based Acoustic Interiors Limited has been crowned 'Best Start Up' at the ceremony.
They're responsible for improving the health, wellbeing and productivity of people through intelligent acoustic design and fit-out of homes, offices and buildings.
Co-founder Derek McCreanor says they were shocked and honoured to receive the accolade.
He says the breadth of innovation on display at last night's awards ceremony was remarkable:
Westmeath's Strikebox Engineering and Laois-based Salutem Insights were also nominated for awards from their local enterprise offices.
Aquaculture and offshore renewable energy business Aqualicense took home the overall crown from the competition.
Speaking on the awards, Minister Damian English says, "The National Enterprise Awards are the highlight of the small business and enterprise calendar. Year on year the diversity of businesses and the standard of companies that are coming through the process is getting stronger. We should not be surprised given the innovation and endurance that businesses have shown in the past couple of years. We have some outstanding winners but the finalists on the whole have been excellent, and this is very much the start of their journey. "
