Midlands Farmers Allocated €1.2 Million In Funding

Farmers in the midlands are in line to receive €1.2 million euro in funding to help them enhance their operations and protect the environment.

The support comes from the Green Low-Carbon Agri-Environmental Scheme.

The GLAS program provides payments to farmers to help tackle climate change, preserve biodiversity, protect habitats and promote environmentally-friendly farming.

Farms in Laois will receive a total of €315,718 while Westmeath will receive €464,017 and Offaly has been allocated €464,718.
