Fireworks and bonfires are just some of the dangers posed by the bank holiday weekend.
Bonfires can be dangerous, destructive and poisonous to the envinronment.
That's the message from Westmeath Fire Service ahead of Halloween on Monday.
They're also reminding people that fireworks are illegal, and represent a direct threat to animal's welfare.
