Lack of progress for a flood relief scheme for Ballinasloe is frustrating locals.
A midlands flood relief scheme is set to enter the planning stage by quarter three of this year.
That's according to Galway council's Director of Services, Uinsinn Finn.
A major flooding event took place in Ballinasloe in 2009, and since then heavy rainfall has caused significant issues there - but there has been a lack of progress in ensuring flood defences for the town.
