A young midlands girl is 'doing well' after a discarded syringe pierced her skin.
7-year-old Molly Fennessy, from Edenderry, was taken to hospital after picking up and subsequently dropping a syringe at Brian's Park, grounds of local club Derry Rovers, on Friday.
She required treatment and an injection to protect about Hepatitis B, and will need another one in four weeks time.
Molly and her family are now awaiting the results of her blood test.
Her mum, Sarah, has been speaking to Will Faulkner on Midlands Today, and has a message for the person who originally left the syringe on the ground:
