A midlands girl has been left in limbo awaiting life-changing procedures as the only surgeon available in Ireland is currently on leave.
18-year-old Tyra Briggs, from Tullamore, was born with congenital hip dysplaxia and has relied on a wheelchair or crutches her entire life.
Paediatric orthopaedic surgeon Conor Green has planned a '3 step procedure' over the course of a number of months that was supposed to happen last year.
However, Dr Green is currently being investigated over the paediatric spinal surgery controversy.
