The amount of adults reporting as homeless in Westmeath decreased 17% in one month.
There's been a slight decrease in the number of homeless people in the Midlands.
The Department of Housing has released its latest homelessness report for the month of August.
The amount of adults and children accessing emergency accommodation in the region is down 6.5% when compared to July this year.
Westmeath has seen a significant decrease from 81 adults to 67 in the space of four weeks.
While Laois is down from 50 to 47.
However there has been a slight increase in Offaly from 65 homeless adults in July to 68 in August, and in Longford up to 19 from 17 the month previous.
The amount of children in emergency accommodation in the region is down from 111 to 105.
16,353 people were registered as homeless last month.
It's an increase of 295 on the previous month's figure.
