Midlands Homeowners Urged To Test Homes For Radon Gas

EPA is warning that high levels of radon gas is a serious health risk.

The Environment Protection Agency is urging people in the midlands to test their homes and take action to reduce the levels of radon.

The gas is produced when uranium which is present in all rocks and soils decays and is invisible, colourless and odourless.

EPA is warning that high levels of radon gas is a serious health risk, it is estimated that about 300 lung cancer cases each year in Ireland are linked to radon exposure.
