Midlands Hospital Bed Plan A 'Game-Changer' - Health Minister

The region will see nearly 170 beds delivered by 2031.

Plans to deliver 168 new acute beds to the midlands within the next seven years is the first 'regionally balanced' project in a very long time, according to the Health Minister.

Regional Hospital Tullamore will be allocated 72 new beds, while Portlaoise and Mullingar will see an additional 48, respectively, by 2031.

Around the country, over 4,000 new beds will be delivered.
