Plans to deliver 168 new acute beds to the midlands within the next seven years is the first 'regionally balanced' project in a very long time, according to the Health Minister.
Regional Hospital Tullamore will be allocated 72 new beds, while Portlaoise and Mullingar will see an additional 48, respectively, by 2031.
