Roscommon University Hospital has made the donation as part of its commitment to the EQUALS initiative.
EQUALS is a global health equity project set up by the HSE and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland that helps provide vital equipment and training to health services in low income countries.
The scheme began in Zambia with RUH'S contribution aiming to improve patient care in the country.
