Midlands Hospital Has One Of the Busiest Emergency Departments In The Country

There's been a drop in the number of people waiting on trolleys.

There's been an 86 percent drop in the number of people waiting on hospital trolleys in the past two weeks.

According to the figures the Irish Nurses' and Midwives' Organisation, 467 were waiting on the 28th of February, when the coronavirus outbreak began here.

That has dropped to 64 today.

The Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar now has one of the busiest emergency departments in the country - with the largest number of patients waiting on trolleys yesterday and Tuesday.
