Offaly TD Reassures Solar Panel Homeowners Payment Scheme Not Set To Be Scrapped

It comes as the unit rate customers get for selling excess energy is set to decrease.

There's currently no plans to scrap a payment plan for homeowners selling solar power back to the electricity grid in Ireland.

That's according to a government TD from Offaly.

It comes after homeowners with solar panels are being warned the system could be phased out, after the Netherlands has already taken the step to do so.

It comes as the unit rate customers get for selling excess energy is set to decrease.
