Midlands Hospital's Emergency Department Extremely Busy This Evening

The public are asked to consider other options before attending.

Mullingar Hospital’s adult and paediatric emergency departments are both extremely busy this evening.

The hospital is in escalation and teams are working to manage the current in-patient and Covid-19 Bed capacity together with scheduled care.

Management are asking people to consider other options before attending the emergency department.

Those who require urgent care will be prioritised and other patients will experience long wait times.
